Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.
This quote is wonderful.
I was having a conversation about this with someone not long ago. In the past I’ve been criticised for taking cameras everywhere, especially when I travel, and accused of “not living in the moment” or “not truly experiencing something” because I’m viewing it through a camera lens.
Taking photographs is how I remember so many things that are so so important to me (and for some things, photographs are the only things I have).
Screw anyone that says life through a camera lens is somehow less “real”.
